A warm welcome to Seabrook Church of England Primary School’s website! Nestled between Folkestone and Hythe, Seabrook is situated beside Hythe Canal and mere metres from the English Channel. With approximately 107 pupils on roll, organised into four classes, we are one big family under the roof of our small school.

What a brilliant design technology afternoon we had in Starfish Class today. Following the children's learning about ferris wheels and axles, parents and carers were invited in to help the children create their own fantastic ferris wheels. The children were all able to draw on their learning adding in pods, a base and an axle to help their wheels turn.

The Rainbow Fish enjoyed their visit to the Folkestone Museum this morning.  With a beautiful bus journey by the sea to start off the day, the children impressed as they shared their existing knowledge in a workshop all about dinosaurs, rocks and fossils!  After learning about the different artifacts, they explored the museum gallery and made their own clay fossil.  A wonderful learning experience right on our doorstep and a dinosaur roaring school trip was had by all!

FAMILY MAKE IT SESSION AT FOLKESTONE MUSEUM Paper Bag Otter Workshop - Saturday 9th May Visit Folkestone Museum to join in with their natural history themed workshop to create your very own ‘paper bag otter’! Drop-in sessions run between 10.30am - 12:30pm & 1:30pm - 3:30pm. (Sessions are free, but a small donation for materials would be much appreciated by the museum.)

For this week's Nature Quest Starfish and Jellyfish Classes went on a walk along the canal path to listen for sounds of nature. The children picked out lots of different bird song and here are some of the birds we were lucky enough to hear. They also commented on the crunching underfoot and the sound of the wind through the trees.
